1.Lending and Reading

There are 300,000 volumes of Chinese social science and Natural science collected, and all of them are open shelves for public to lend.

2.Reading

We consist of Chinese new books, Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals, reference book searching, Taiwan and Hong Kong document, overseas document, newspapers and periodicals of our state’s foundment, and multimedia reading room more than 10 of all kinds.

3.Information retrieval and inquiry

There are 3500 kinds of key periodicals of the whole country, more than 4000 kinds of miniature materials, agricultural database of Taiwan, etc., and the lending date searching of more than 6300 kinds of electronic audio and visual materials.

4.Materials consulting

Offer study abroad guide for society, World Bank, etc. consult.

5.All libraries take advantage of each other

Offer lending domestically and among all libraries, and offer documentation & Info service for reader.

Resource direction

1.Thread-bound book of Chinese ancient book: 650,000 volumes. Among them 60,000 volumes of 5,000 kinds of rare book, and 995 kinds of them are classified to the national level. There are 50,000 local chronicles of 2,000 kinds besides.

2.Chinese family tree: Amount to about 520 kinds of nearly 5000 volumes. Involve 20 provinces and cities, 122 surnames while getting up.

3.Old paperback edition books: The ones that have already catalogued have had 130000 volumes.

4.Modern times newspaper: There are 400 kinds in all.

5.Modern times magazine: 87000 volumes of 8700 kinds have already catalogued, all kinds of magazines published before October of 1949 amount to about 8700 kinds of 87000 volumes. Among them have a kind of characteristic literature periodicals like " pen burst ", etc. the pictorial publication is such as " popular pictorial ", etc., social science periodical such as " social science journal ( Cheng Du ) " ,etc..
